december 20th 2002- the cube cinema, bristol.
supporting 'the national'

this was a lot of fun, but kind of nerve-wracking becuz it was the first time we'd played live together for a whole show. each one of us made at least one mistake in every song, but it still went okay i think. 'the national' said some awfully nice things about us, and the drummer called us 'unpretentious'. 'shoddy' is the word i'd use.

february 21st 2003 - bristol music club, bristol.
lonely ponies launch night

this was to promote/celebrate our 10" record. first we played as my two toms, which was pretty terrifying as there were only two people in there when we started, but it soon filled out. then bucky played and then we all got together and played as the lonely ponies, which was a lot of fun. the venue was really nice too, like an old-style venue with tea and coffee in the intervals.

march 21st 2003 - seymour's, bristol
duncan's birthday party

we played after the karoke, were ignored and i bruised my finger. we played as a weird sort of rock band, all plugged in and stuff, which was kind of fun, but i don't think anyone noticed...
